It is worth noting that some of the tools provide additional reports too. This makes it difficult to compare the tools on solely price.

In order to get accurate data you should consider the locality of search rank position updates too. Are they based on national searches and can you set it to the UK? If you’re looking to compare more localised results can you specify the town or city instead for greater accuracy?

Other important factors when looking to monitor your keyword ranking position are:

• How many competitor ranking positions can you tack alongside your own?
• Which search engine can you check (including local/map/mobile specific results)?
