Google Analytics: Bounce Rate vs Exit Rate

Bounce Rate

The bounce rate is determined by the number of people leaving your site on the same page they entered the site without triggering any events by interacting with the site.

Exit Rate

The exit rate on the other hand is determined by the people leaving your site from a particular page even though they might have got to the page from a different page within your site. (ie they weren’t classed as a “bounce”)
