Worried About Websites Tracking You?

If you’re worried about websites using cookies to track what you do after leaving their sites – delete your cookies.

Doing this manually is a bit repetitive and my bet is that you will soon ignore the task but try installing a browser add-on instead which will perform the task for you!

Use Google Chrome? Install Cookie AutoDelete
This looks at all your cookies and deletes them if they are not in any Open Tabs or the WhiteList.

Using Firefox instead? There’s an add-on of the same name for you too.
Control your cookies! When a tab closes, any cookies not being used are automatically deleted. Whitelist the ones you trust while deleting the rest.

You have probably noticed adverts which pop-up on other sites promoting products/services you viewed on a previous website? A bit creepy right? Perhaps you thought it was just a coincidence but it isn’t – advertisers use cookies to display more accurate ads based on your browsing history!

If this freaks you out a little bit then consider using one of the browser plug-ins above.
